Tour Iguana Island and its Natural Beauties
Iguana Island is a wildlife refuge minutes by boat from Pedasi, with white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and coral reefs. It is home to several species of birds and large nesting sites for the majestic frigatebird. It is an ideal place to enjoy a day full of relaxation surrounded by nature.
To get there, you take a boat from Playa El Arenal, on the island you can enjoy snorkeling and diving, surrounded by impressive marine life. There is also a trail where you can reach a small private beach.

Located 2 km from Villa de los Santos, this archaeological site takes you to discover a place that was inhabited in the year 200 BC. Ceramics that span different periods have been found here. (The mule 150 a- 300 d followed by Tonosi, 300 d – 550 d and Cubita 550 d – 700 d).

If you like road cycling, Pedasi is the ideal destination, offering coastal routes with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Here you can travel along country roads, visit secluded beaches and discover picturesque towns. The combination of seascapes and the warmth of the inhabitants make Pedasi a memorable place to bike. Likewise, it is a town that you can easily explore by bicycle, without having to travel by car. There are several places that offer bicycle rentals.
The Best Fishing of Your Life in Tonosi
If what you want is to go fishing, Tonosi is an unmissable destination. The fishing here is so good that locals call it the Tuna Coast. In this region you can navigate from shallow to deep waters and find an abundance of marine life.
In March, April, August and September you can fish for black marlin. If you want to catch a wahoo, September to December is the best season. If you don’t have a set date, don’t worry, in any month of the year you will find roosterfish, Cubera Snapper or Raisero Snapper.
Meet the Giants of the Ocean in Pedasi
Leaving by boat from El Arenal beach between the months of July and October you can watch the humpback whales that come from the northern and southern hemispheres to give birth. The humpback whale is the fourth largest species in the world and is known for the acrobatics it performs, which involves breaking or jumping completely out of the water, an amazing moment to witness. When whale watching, the main priority is to respect and protect marine life.
