Veraguas has 410 kilometers of coastline and beaches, as well as 40 islands, including the largest in the country: Coiba Island. In this province you find mangroves of exuberant beauty and international recognition. Here you will find archaeological treasures such as the oldest stones in the country in Cerro Hoya, or the two-headed snake carved in stone more than 5 and a half meters high, the longest petroglyph of the Isthmus.

Conquer the Atlantic Coast in Calovebora

Calovebora is a small Caribbean town one hour from  Santa Fe de Veraguas. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Panama. From this town you can visit two beaches, the first is called La Miel, 20 minutes from Calovebora, the second is 45 minutes by boat and is called Playa Arco (Arch Beach), due to the impressive formation of stones that make the shape of an arch. and is the favorite of many tourists.

Santa Fe is a region where it is possible where there are intense green hills that extend in steps towards the horizon. In this region you will love the people for their charisma and kindness. The cool weather is what attracts the most to this paradise full of greenery, as well as the fresh and natural food that is produced locally. Being a region in full development, you will do many routes on horseback to shorten time and reach incredible places.

Witness the Miracle of Nature at Playa Mata Oscura

Here are coastal marine ecosystems where the beaches welcome hundreds of sea turtles of different species every year to lay their eggs.  This nature event allows you to visit as a volunteer to take care of their nests and accompany thousands of newborn turtles on their first journey to the sea. In Mata Oscura you can also enjoy activities such as milking a cow, extracting juice from sugar cane, and even participating in craft workshops. 

Tour San Pablo River and its Mangrove Forests

The San Pablo River rises in the northern part of the province of Veraguas, with a journey of more than 80 kilometers to its mouth in the Gulf of Montijo.  It is one of the largest in Veraguas, and stands out for the great biodiversity of species that live there. Touring the mouth and waters of the river is an activity that you will enjoy watching its rich fauna and mangrove forests, also you will find crocodiles, water birds and howler monkeys.

Live the Surf Culture in Santa Catalina

Located on the Pacific coast of Veraguas Province, Santa Catalina was discovered in the 70’s by the most adventurous surfers, who kept it a secret for years, but it soon began to be popular not only nationally but internationally. Since this small paradise hosted the Surf World Cup in 2010, this fishing village has become a place with places to stay, restaurants with food for all tastes and surf schools.
