I\u2019ve always believed that places, like people, have a purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some nations were born to conquer, others to teach, and others\u2014like Panama\u2014to unite and transform. Perhaps that\u2019s why God placed it right here: not to divide two oceans, but to remind us that what seems different can come together without ever losing its authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we\u2019ve learned that roots and wings are not opposites; that tradition and innovation can walk hand in hand; that progress is most meaningful when it honors its history; and that diversity is something to be celebrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panama is a place where the whole world belongs. A country where the sea embraces the mountains, the city speaks with the rainforest, and yesterday smiles confidently at tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve traveled across much of the world, and the more I see, the more grateful I am to have been born in a country that never needed to imitate anyone else in order to embrace the world. Panama has learned how to grow without losing itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps that is its greatest lesson: true greatness is not measured by size, but by what we are able to contribute. A bridge is only as meaningful as the lives it brings together. A country is defined by the people it shapes. And the success of a nation is measured not only by what it builds, but by what it inspires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the next few days, I hope you discover our cities, our seas, our islands, our mountains, our flavors, our music, and our history. But above all, I hope you discover what no photograph can ever capture: the way we welcome others, the way we share, and our belief that there is always room for one more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when it\u2019s time to leave, I hope you won\u2019t feel as though you\u2019re leaving a destination, but that you\u2019re taking with you a different way of seeing the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy your stay, and may you always want to return to this place that will always be your home away from home: Panama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
