Discover <\/strong>Cerro Chucanti<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rising 1,439 meters (4,721 feet) above sea level, Cerro Chucanti is the highest peak in Eastern Panama and the tallest mountain in the Maje Range. The Chucanti Nature Reserve protects one of the last isolated cloud forests in eastern Panama, home to numerous endemic plant and animal species, several of which have only recently been discovered. The challenging hike rewards visitors with spectacular mountain scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Get There: <\/strong>Approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes from Panama City to Alto Chucanti in Chepo District. Entry is by advance reservation through the reserve administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
