The borders of Panama are open to Visitors from all over the world, keeping the safety and health of both tourists and locals as a priority. For this reason, any visitor who arrives in the country with a complete vaccination scheme for more than 14 days approved by WHO, EMA and FDA, will be able to enter the country expeditiously.
Visitors entering the country must present a negative test for COVID-19 PCR or antigens up to 72 hours before arrival in Panama. If you do not have it within the established time period, you must carry out a test at the airport at the expense of the traveler, before going through migration. If the test is positive, the traveler will be placed in mandatory quarantine in a Hotel Hospital designated by the Ministry of Health. The cost of the stay will be fully covered by the traveler.
Travelers without a complete vaccination scheme coming from or who have transited through high-risk countries (see updated list in the web address below) must undergo an additional COVID-19 test upon arrival in Panama and remain in quarantine for 3 days in a authorized hotel, at the expense of the traveler (list of hotels in the address below). If the test is positive, the traveler will be quarantined (14 days) in a Hotel Hospital and will have to cover all expenses.
However, travelers from these countries who can present a complete vaccination schedule greater than 14 days with a physical card or digital certification endorsed by WHO, EMA and FDA, equal to or greater than 14 days after the last dose, will be exonerated. quarantine.
